The projects that we are proposing for 2008/2009 and 2009/2010 Musical splendours and celebrations in Baroque Europe The greatest masters of the height of the end of this 18th century reflected one in the other: Rameau, Telemann, Bach and Handel, friends, Europeans, timeless and yet so modern… Israel in Egypt by Handel The old-style polyphonies, skilful fugues, homo-rhythmical declamations, added to double choirs where the vocal groups intertwine in a colourful polyphony -all add up to explain why Israel in Egypt enjoyed the same success as The Messiah in the Victorian Age. The Seasons by Haydn The passage of winter into spring, whistling whilst labouring, the sprouting of seed, nourishing nature, a hymn to the sun, a summer storm, the autumn harvest, the hunting season and the grape-picking, followed by winter in the countryside and a well-earned rest., these are the ingredients of this last oratorio composed by Haydn, symbols of human existence Hymn to the Night Unclassifiable, this musical entertainment, on a text by Novalis, invites fans of jazz and literature, those passionate about improvisation and those mad about vocal art … to encounter each other and be… curious ! The stream- A journey into the story of a family: the BACHS Through an anthology of texts and musical pieces, discover the destiny of this out of the ordinary family ! A journey in quartet A sacred or secular programme through the ages, with an Arsys quartet, with a possible educational accompaniment.
