The Auxerre-based photographer Sébastien Boulard spent the day with Arsys in the magical setting of Pontigny Abbey to make a portrait gallery of the ensemble. Singers and conductor posed in a relaxed atmosphere, and the result, full of fun, accurately portrays a choir which is first and foremost a group of men and women from all over Europe who gather together regularly to perform music – whether well-known or unknown – from the 16th to the 21st centuries.
